The first EWQ Padel Tournament brought together customers and partners in a spirit of good vibes

Last week, we hosted EWQ’s very first annual padel tournament, bringing together our customers and partners for a relaxed, yet naturally competitive, event. The goal was to offer our clients and collaborators a chance to connect with each other and with us at EWQ in a slightly different setting. At the same time, the event reflected EWQ’s core values: we aim to promote wellbeing and sustainability, not only within our own work community, but more broadly as well.

Padel was chosen for its low barrier to entry and social nature and the choice turned out to be spot on. The courts saw intense rallies, but above all, fair play and an encouraging atmosphere. Participants came from a variety of companies. Throughout the event, there was plenty of laughter, catching up, and building connections that will surely extend beyond the padel courts.

At EWQ, we believe that wellbeing and endurance at work go hand in hand. That’s why we offer our employees the opportunity to play padel weekly, supported by the company. Through our own example, we hope to inspire others to stay active and take care of their wellbeing, both at work and during leisure time.

One of the key purposes of the padel tournament was to bring people together, provide networking opportunities, and get everyone moving, quite literally. We believe that exercise can be not only fun but also meaningful when it connects people and supports holistic wellbeing.

The tournament culminated in a final match, where the battle for victory was serious but friendly. In the end, Jaakko Leppänen and Ville Puustinen from HL Display claimed the win and were awarded EWQ’s newly introduced rotating trophy. Their gameplay was impressive and their teamwork seamless, a well-deserved victory!

The rotating trophy got a worthy start, and we hope it becomes a tradition that brings padel enthusiasts together year after year.

The positive reception and enthusiasm from participants exceeded our expectations. We received plenty of praise for the relaxed atmosphere, smooth organization, and the opportunity to network through sport. Our goal is to make the tournament an annual tradition that grows and evolves year by year. We hope to see even more participants, new faces, and of course, new champions, at next year’s tournament.

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants who brought your energy, smiles, and competitive spirit to the event. Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible. See you next year on the padel courts, and before that, in the spirit of collaboration and wellbeing!
