EWQ has achieved the Ecovadis Gold certificate for our work in sustainable development, ethics and social responsibility. The assessment was carried out by Ecovadis, the world’s leading sustainable development and responsibility analysis company. Only 5% of over 90,000 companies assessed receive the gold rating.
EcoVadis, a company providing sustainability assessments, has awarded our business a Gold level rating of social responsibility, which indicates that we are on the right track and that we have focused on the right areas by making our company more socially responsible. Gold certification is not a given, only 5 percent of more than 90,000 companies, from more than 200 industries in more than 160 countries, reach the gold level.
Over the years, we have done impressive work in the field of our responsibility. In 2020, Ecovadis awarded us a bronze certificate, the following year we upgraded to silver. In this year we exceeded our expectations and achieved gold!

EcoVadis assesses corporate sustainability in four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. In order to be awarded the gold certificate, it requires the company to have a structured and proactive approach to sustainable development. The required documentation is very detailed.
However, we at EWQ do not think that responsibility is just a pile of documents, but rather we improve our responsibility principles for the sake of the environment, our personnel, our customers and other stakeholders. We have been a carbon-neutral company since 2020 and this year we have put even more effort into the well-being of our staff, e.g. clarifying job descriptions and processes. Our continuously growing staff is our company’s asset.
Our goal for next year is to commit our entire supply chain to our responsibility principles and make the chain even more transparent.
